Autumnal Bliss

As the weather gets cooler and the leaves begin to change color, I, along with thousands of people, get excited for the beginning of fall.  Mine is a deep rooted love which started as a kid living in the country, raking leaves, eating apple cider doughnuts, roasting pumpkin seeds, picking apples ... the list could go on and on and on.  While everyone is running around in scarves and drinking mulled beverages, there are still the haters; take example 1 and example 2.  There are also some great spoofs like this Dr. Seuss pumpkins spice latte poem.

While I no longer live in the country, I have to get a bit more creative when it comes autumnal bliss.  Near by state parks makes it easy to take in some fall foliage and feel hear the crunch of leaves under my feet.  The local farmers market makes it easier to eat the perfect apple; if only I could get my hands on an apple cider doughnut.

Stay tuned for adventures in apple picking, half marathon runs, fall leaves friendsgivings and some local brews!
